Retail Health Clinics

I had the opportunity to sit down with Bentelligence and Healthcare 311 founder Greg Judd to discuss the trends affecting the Retail Health Clinics market. Greg shared some of his thoughts on the consolidation and reconfiguration in the industry over the past few years which has resulted in the current expansion in the market. Greg talked about Walmart’s strategy for growth for their Clinics at Walmart which is beginning to be copied by other providers in the market.

Greg shared his thoughts on the convergence between retail health clinics and urgent care clinics and the realization by urgent care providers such as Solantic and Concentra that they are competing against the retail clinics for the same customers. Lastly, we discussed some of the regulatory issues faced by retail health clinics in states like New York.
