On-Site Health Clinics Gaining Increasing Attention
In a market once populated by a small number of vendors targeting large manufacturing companies and focused mainly on occupational health and emergency first aid, the onsite health clinic market is gaining increasing attention as the frontline in the battle against rising health care costs.
Despite relatively low employer adoption, onsite health services are not only highly utilized by employees, but also are the programs employers believed best achieved their intended results relative to other programs aimed at improving employee health and productivity, according to a survey by Hewitt Associates.
